Lake Forest College: A Guide to Campus
Lake Forest CollegeŽ
108-page guidebook with more than 80 illustrations of campus including photographs, maps, posters, and drawings. The book is in part the culmination of work by students in the course Lake Forest College as Cultural Landscape. In addition to the students’ work faculty members contributed essays on a variety of subjects including the history of the institution‘s basic ties to the town of Lake Forest, the campus’s natural setting, the history of plans of the campus, and modernism on the campus with its links to Chicago and beyond. This book reflects the rich kinds of conversations among students and faculty that distinguish this College and its heterogeneously built and landscaped campus. Edited by Professor of Art Christopher Reed and College Archivist Arthur H. Miller.
